Life on the Center Line

It has been a long time since I had decided to write a blog, 12 years to be exact. Somehow, I lost track of time, a commodity that is always diminishing. I wanted to name the blog “Sifu in the Suburb – Life on the Centerline.” It is a nod to my SiFu’s blog “Sifu in the City”. “Centerline” should be obvious for Wing Tsun practitioners.

After about a year of urging from a few students- one in particular- No Name, will be mentioned here. We are here today. When I first opened Club Kung Fu in November of 2008, I wanted to highlight the best of the Chinese and American cultures. To give my students new experiences and/or different ideas to think about and more importantly, maybe, they will more appreciate the world around them and be better than they were last week, and of course, teach Wing Tsun kung fu.

I will tell stories, some will be recent, other will be decades past, some will have lessons while other might just be interesting or entertaining. I will try to keep each post as short as possible and hope to stay away from politics, but not away from government or common sense.
With this in mind, I write this blog for my students and those who may want to become a student so that they can better understand me and hopefully I can learn something from them. In the last two and a half decades, I have truly tried to live “Life on the Centerline”.
